From camera operator, sound recordist, editor and motion graphics artist to director and producer, each individual must be able to work independently and as part of a team as required.
Training either on the job or completion of tertiary courses at TAFE colleges or university for specific duties is essential for skilled positions. Entry level positions such as Assistant Director or  Production Assistant require completion of year 12,  basic computer skills and most importantly a good attitude and willingness to learn.
Unusual hours, long shifts and travel are common. Punctuality, an eye for detail, and the ability to meet deadlines is essential. A healthy sense of humour is a useful asset.
